I was expecting something in terms of the business aspects that specifically related to a screen-printing business. What I got instead was a basic overview of how the screen-printing process works (which is available from numerous sources, for free, as well as from whomever you purchase a screen-printing kit from) and a printed list of suppliers of materials, along with some pre-packaged screen-printing kits . (This was the entire back half of the book. And seriously!? Why not give me some actual CONTENT about a working screen printing business and mention a website for the list of materials?)Waste of money....
Unfortunately, this book is absolute garbage. By surfing the web and hitting any of the many screen printing message boards, you can get the same information for free. Among my complaints:1) More than half the book is an outdated compendium of screen-printing product cuplly companies.2) The information in the book in regards to the actual process of screen printing is cursory at best.3) There is no real discussion on equipment (what do buy, where to buy, etc.) or how to actually use it.4) The section in regards to inks should be ripped up and burned. It is outdated.5) The sales section is a joke.The only people who are making money off of this book are the authors. Good for them.This book is garbage. I am glad that I purchased it used rather than new. Garbage.
This book was a waste of money. I had already read "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit" and was looking for another good screen printing book when I stumbled across this one. It looked good so I bought it but it is just a very quick and basic overview of the process, it doesn't get deep at all. There are 7 chapters spanning just 37 pages of a 114 page book! The final chapter (7) is on sales and is just 2 pages long, I think that's funny considering the book is entitled "Start Your Own Screen-Printing Business". Save your self and buy "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit" instead, it's not known as the screen printing bible for nothing.There is a list of suppliers in this book but there is a better list in "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit"
Save your money! Not a good book to start with or at all - shows little about the process of screen printing, nothing about starting a business and seems more of an add for the company that sells screen printing equiptment(Home Cash Business). Put your money into another book. It's to bad that I can not give a negative star for this book or I would have!
This book is poorly written and not at all useful. Do not waste your time or money. There's a book that is about 1000 times better called 'How to Print T-Shirts for Fun and Profit'. How to Print T-Shirts for Fun and Profit
Save your money on this book. It is a glorified printed version of their website. Very little helpful information and if you have looked over their website (HCB) you have already read the book.Their are many other books far more helpful than this one.
Its a good book for getting a high level understanding of the bushiness and perfect for my purposes, I am not planning to actually do the screen printing but I need to know what it is all about.
the book was new but i tought it would a little bit better. it is mostly references to other stuff. not a good book to to me. read it from cover to cover in 15 min.
