This is a short story, simply but well told, with some lovely illustration.I'm guessing the pictures would look wonderful on a full colour screen, but even in black and white they are charming.The story is told largely through the illustrations, each of which has a sentence or three to move the action along. Some of the writing on the pictures is in Indonesian, but all of those words are explained in the text and the glossary at the back. So if the reader wants to learn a little Indonesian, all the better.I think the Kindle edition probably doesn't do it justice, and if it wasn't so expensive I'd be tempted to invest in the print version for my nephews.As you'd expect from a children's picture book, it's not exactly thick in plot, but there is a genuine storyline here. Overall the best way I can sum this up is that it's a charming story I wouldn't hesitate to share with my young relatives.
The story must be in total 150 words spread over all of those pages in extremely large font. This book is for kids first starting to read - maybe max a 6-7 year old. Or for babies. The two stars are for intentions of trying to write a kids book on nonduality - which this book really isn’t about...and the book is very costly. Don’t buy...
A beautiful little true story about a young boy who finds a lost dog on a beach in Bali and gives it new hope.A very quick read and ideal for children.The artwork is uniquely beautiful!Recommended for children.
