These pages hold a treasure trove of information. My husband and I came across this book in the library of a private island in the Bahamas, and so loved it that I ordered it as soon as we returned to our home. It lists the chemical constituents of the plants in one area and some "folk wisdom" about them. Many of the plants listed in here are used medicinally on the small Bahamian island where my husband and I live and the information in this book help me to decide whether or not I'm willing to use this plant or that. The animals section I am going to require all of our guests to thumb through when they arrive so that they know what NOT TO TOUCH.
I live in south Florida and found this book to be very informative and entertaining. I can see a handful of these plants in my backyard. Hopefully I don't see the animals.
